Sybil de Braose

Sybil was born in year 1149 in Bramber, England.¹ Sybil's father was Sheriff of Hereford, Lord Bramber William de Braose II and her mother was Bertha de Gloucester de Pitres. Her paternal grandparents were Philip (Crusader) de Braose and Aenor de Totnes; her maternal grandparents were 3rd Earl of Hereford Miles de Pietres de Gloucester and Sybil de Neufmarche. She was the fourth of five children. She had a brother and three sisters, named The Ogre of Abergavenny, Maud, Matilda and Bertha. She died, at the age of 79 years, on February 5th, 1228 in England.¹
