Smerdis' father was Cyrus II Persia and his mother was Neithiyti Egypt.  His paternal grandparents were Cambyses I Ashan And Media and Mandane Of The Medes; his maternal grandparents were  Wahibre Ha' A' Ib.Re and  <Unknown>.  He was the second of three children.  He had a brother and a sister, named Cambyses II and Atossa.
