Baron Ixworth Gilbert (Herbert) le Blount

Gilbert, known as Herbert, was born in 1120.¹ Herbert's father was 3rd Baron of Ixworth William le Blount and his mother was Sarah de Munchesni. His paternal grandparents were Baron Ixworth Gilbert le Blount and Alicia Colekirk; his maternal grandparents were Hubert de Munchesney and Emma de Hedenton. He had a brother and a sister, named William and Galiena. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 68 in 1188.¹
