Almodis was born about 1000 in Toulouse, France.¹ Almodis' father was Bernard de la Marche I and her mother was Countess Amelie Aubnay. Her paternal grandparents were Adalbert de la haute Marche and Almode de Limoges; her maternal grandparents were Cadelon Aubnay III and <Unknown>. She had a brother named Alberic III. She was the older of the two children. She died due to murder / assassination on November 16th, 1071.¹
