Rotpert ap Ednowain

Rotpert was born in 1028 in Llys Y Coed, Cilcain, Flintshire, Wales.¹   Rotpert's father was Ednowain (Feiniad) ap Cynan and his mother was Gwerfyl verch Llydocca. He had six brothers and a sister, named Madog, Goronwy, Blettrws, Maredydd, Gwyn, Gruffydd and Ceinfryd.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
