Isabella's father was William Stanley of Hooten and her mother was Blanche Arderne of Aldford.  Her maternal grandparents were Sir John Arderne of Aldford and <Unknown>. She had a brother and two sisters, named Robert, Margaret and Agnes.1

Isabella and Robert were married in 1439 in Adlington, Prestbury, Cheshire, England.2   They had a daughter named Isabel.
