Hammelin, known as of Anjou, was born in 1130 in Normandy, France.1   Of Anjou's father was Geoffrey (The Fair) Plantagenate Of Anjou IV and his mother was Adelaide Of Angers.  His paternal grandparents were King of Jerusalem Fulk (The Young) D'Anjou V and Ermengard of Maine; his maternal grandparents were King Henry (Beauclerc) England I and Matilda of Scotland. He had a sister named Emma.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers named Curtmantel and William.  He died at the age of 72 in April 1202 in England.  He was buried in Chapter House, Lewes, Sussex, England.2 1
