  BIOGRAPHY: 1880&1900&1910 censes: Farmer in Greene Township.   RockvilleRepublican, June 15, 1915  "PARKEVILLE - Fred Jessup, wife and son, were Sunday guests of Jacob Collings and family."   1930 census: Farmer on own farm.
  DEATH: "Jacob Collings, age 81, one of the best known farmers of Greene Township, died at his home at 4:30 Saturday morning, after an illness of eight weeks. Mr. Collings was born in Greene Township and spent all his life there. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Hollandsburg. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Esta Weaver of Terre Haute and Miss Chloe at home, and one son, Guy Collings, of New Ross; also five grand daughters, Mrs. Frances Williams, Mrs. Nellie Edwards, Mrs. Blanche Weatherford of Tuscola, Ill., Miss Freda Collings of New Ross and Miss Alberta Collings who resided with him, and two great grandchildren.  The funeral was held at Mt. Moriah Church, Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. S. G. Smith of Ladoga, officiating. Burial in the cemetery near the church."
