Guillaume was born about 0965 in Belleme, Perche, Normandy, France.1   Guillaume's father was Yves II de Creil de Belleme and his mother was Godchilde de Ponthieu.  His paternal grandparents were Fulk (Fulcuin) Seigneur de Corbonais and Rolais; his maternal grandparents were Comte Guillaume de Ponthieu I and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Renaud, Yves, Godehilde and Hildeburge.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died about 1048.2

Guillaume and Mathilda were married in a religious ceremony in 0991.  They had three sons named Guillaume, Warin and Yves.
