William was born on August 9th, 1776 in Pennsylvania.1   William's father was Joseph Beatty and his mother was Mary McConnell. He had a brother and four sisters, named Adam, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary and Ann.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 77 on February 22nd, 1854 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 

William's first family with Delilah Pirtle

William and Delilah were married in a religious ceremony on November 22nd, 1803 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1  They had two sons and three daughters, named John, Beatty, Sarah, Cassa and Elizabeth.


William's second family with Lydia A, Shaw

They had five sons and a daughter, named Uriah, Joseph, Henry, Francis, Adam and Jane.
