Judith was born on June 1st, 1787 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1   Judith's father was Edward Beard and her mother was Sarah Walker.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Walker and Agatha. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Robert, Charles, Elijar, Edward, Pleasant, John, Agatha, Eliza and Sarah.  She was the nineth oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 84 on April 15th, 1872 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 

Judith's family with Moses Payne

Judith and Moses were married in a religious ceremony on January 27th, 1808 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1   They had eight sons and three daughters, named Oaty, Robert, Lemuel, Green, Payne, Joseph, William, James, Matilda, Mary and Sarah.
