Sarah Jane Ashwell Jr. 
Sarah Jane was born on March 10th, 1833 in Bedford Co, Va. Sarah Jane's father was James "Meredith" ("Meredith") Ashwell and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Jane Ellis. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. She had four brothers and five sisters, named "Bill" "Will" Ashwell, "Ben" Ashwell, "Ben" Ashwell, Carey Austin, Tellitha Emmaline, Juliann Matilda, Mary Elizabeth, Nancy Adeline and Susan Frances. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 83 on March 5th, 1917 in Bedford Co, Va. She was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
