Robert Austin Ashwell 
Robert Austin was born on February 7th, 1875 in Bedford Co, Va. Robert Austin's father was Carey Austin Ashwell and his mother was Frances West Howell. His paternal grandparents were James "Meredith" ("Meredith") Ashwell and Sarah "Sally" Jane Ellis. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Daniel L., Silas Pleasant, John William, Alexander Austin, Aubrey, "Infant son", Victoria Catherine, Mary Matilda and Sophia Jane. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 75 on March 28th, 1950 in Bedford Co, Va. He was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
