Mary Elizabeth Ashwell 
Mary Elizabeth was born on May 9th, 1840 in Bedford Co, Va. Mary Elizabeth's father was James "Meredith" ("Meredith") Ashwell and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Jane Ellis. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. She had four brothers and five sisters, named "Bill" "Will" Ashwell, "Ben" Ashwell, "Ben" Ashwell, Carey Austin, Tellitha Emmaline, Sarah Jane, Juliann Matilda, Nancy Adeline and Susan Frances. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 60 on July 25th, 1900 in Advance, Boone Co, Indiana. She was buried in Advance, Boone Co, Indiana.General Notes
