Arni was born about 0977 in Onundfjord, Norway.1   Arni's father was Arnmod Arnvidarsson and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Arnvid Thorarinsson and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Arnfinnur.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died in 1024.1
