Thomas Akin 
Thomas was born on July 24th, 1783.1 Thomas' father was James Akin and his mother was Mary Murphy. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Akin and Margaret (Peggy) Bass; his maternal grandparents were Miles Murphy and Amey Norman. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, John, James, Bill, Elder, Nancy, Mary, Deborah, Martha, Susannah and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the twelve children.-
