Druey Bernice was born on March 23rd, 1909 in Hebron, Denton Co, TX.  Druey Bernice's father was Druey Dillon Simmons and his mother was Martha Lou 'Patty' Sparkman.  His paternal grandparents were William Simmons and Susannah E. Adair. He had three brothers and six sisters, named J. Dillon, Roy C., Barney, May, Ada, Frances Lydia, Dolly F., Alta L. and Ethel A..  He was the third youngest of the ten children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Charles, Rhea, Ernest, Emma and Lou.  He died at the age of 66 on September 23rd, 1975 in Dallas, Dallas Co, TX.
