Decater Roberts

Decater was born on November 5th, 1910 in Cherokee Co, NC. Decater's father was John D. Roberts and his mother was Ollie Coleman. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Roberts and Josephine M. Parker. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Steve Elisha, Bass, Olen, Bessie Isabelle, Clara Christine 'Tina', Mae, Ethel, Jane, Bertie and Lillie Ben. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 16 on April 23rd, 1927 in Topton, Cherokee Co, NC. He was buried on April 24th, 1927 in Old Hiwassee Cemetery, Grape Creek, Cherokee Co, NC.
