Nancy C. was born on January 26th, 1852 in NC.  Nancy C.'s father was John Ruffin Rhew and her mother was Susan Roberts.  Her maternal grandparents were Jesse Roberts and Nancy Wilson. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William N. 'Billy', Isaac N., Jessie Thomas, James Simpson, John Ruffin, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth J. 'Betty', Susan Frances  'Fannie' and Mary Selena.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 69 on January 17th, 1922 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC.  She was buried on January 18th, 1922 in Brown - Hicks Cemetery, Roxboro, Person Co, NC.
