John Brodie was born on May 3rd, 1876 in Carroll Co, TN.1   John Brodie's father was Sion Parish and his mother was Eliza Jane Montgomery.  His paternal grandparents were Brodie Parish and Margaret Rogers. He had a brother and five sisters, named Rufus Clinton, Lucy Lorretta, Margrett Ada, Sarah Lenora, Josephine and Addie Angeline.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Tray Newton, Iris Marie and Martha Lena.  He died at the age of 51 on February 14th, 1928 in Carroll Co, TN.  He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll Co, TN.1 1
