John Melton Mauney

John Melton was born on April 1st, 1899 in Gaston Co, NC. John Melton's father was Jefferson Jackson Mauney and his mother was Georgeanna Roberts. His maternal grandparents were John Elgin Roberts and Mary Jane Ware. He had four sisters named Cora Eva Mae, Mary Emma, Bessie Lee and Junnie Florence. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 60 on November 8th, 1959 in Hickory, Catawba Co, NC. He was buried on November 10th, 1959 in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Cherryville, Gaston Co, NC.
