James Norton Grant

James Norton was born on September 30th, 1919 in Rockingham Co, NC.¹ James Norton's father was Ernest Lenford Grant and his mother was Susie Hiatt. His paternal grandparents were Ulysses Simmons Grant and Lucinda Bullen. He had a brother and three sisters, named Raymond Levey, Maud Ellen, Beatrice and Catherine. He died at the age of 61 in April 1981 in Clyde, Haywood Co, NC.
