John William Goforth

John William was born on November 6th, 1912 in Spear, Avery Co, NC. John William's father was George Edward Goforth and his mother was Maggie Elizabeth Pannell. His paternal grandparents were Henry Wright Goforth and Frances 'Fannie' C. Brinkley. He had five brothers and a sister, named Charles Edward, George Martin, Samuel Pannell, Joseph Alexander, Coleman Wright and Zella Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 46 on May 31st, 1959 in Gastonia, Gaston Co, NC. He was buried in Beulah Methodist Cemetery, Waco, Cleveland Co, NC.
