Mary Elizabeth Carpenter

Mary Elizabeth was born in 1903 in Durham Co, NC. Mary Elizabeth's father was Adolphus Marcellus Carpenter and her mother was Sarah Jane Barbee. Her maternal grandparents were John Wesley Barbee and Kittie Louisa Rigsbee. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Jesse Thomas, Adolphus Wesley, Mabel and Theresa. She was the third oldest of the five children.
