Joseph Franklin Anderson, of Washington, R.D. 4, died in the MercyHospital, Pittsburgh, Friday, May 26, 1950, at 1:20 p.m. following anoperation.
He was born Sept. 10, 1906, in Wetzel Count, WV, and had been employedat the Hazel No. 2 plant for the past 27 years.
Mr. Anderson was a deacon of the church of Christ of Brookside Avenue.
Besides his wife, Olive, he leaves his mother, Martha, of LincolnHeights, and four children: Peggy Jean, wife of Seaman First ClassJack Hammond, stationed at Philadelphia; Wilma, at home; Richard andCarl, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Grace White, of Lincoln Heights;Mrs. Blanche Horner, of Washington; Mrs. Violet McCracken, ofPhiladelphia; five brothers: James D., of Sandyville, WV; David L., ofMineral City, OH; John, of Washington; Francis, of Strabane, andEdgar, of Clarksburg, WV.
