a heart attack suffered on the Olympic Club golf course (Lakeside) which is just about where he would have wanted to go. He loved the sport.

Founder of the Cereske Electric Cable Co., Oakland, CA, which is a supplier of electrical cable for special needs. He built it from scratch after serving in world war II.

During the war, he was gunnery officer on a Chevron petrolium tanker, and his greatest accomplishment was staying alive. He once spotted a Japanese submarine and "we both took off like bats out of hell", as he referred to both tanker and sub.
