2 Dec 1867. Mentioned only wife Sarah Ann Goff as hier and Dr. H.R. Cook as
executor. L.H. Atkinson, L. Butler and W. Attaway were witnesses.

!Millitary:The book "History of Edgefield" lists James Goff as Pvt. in Capt.
Brooks Co. of old Ninety-Six Boys (Company D, Palmetto Regiment), during the
Mexican Campaign.

!Sale:In Edgefield Dist. SC Book III pp 673, to his son Ellis H. Goff for the
sum of $10 180 acres bounded by Horse Creek and lsnds of Wade Glover and Thomas
Oliver, also some 3 adult and 12 minor children slaves.

!Census:1860 SC census lists James and wife Sarah A. Goff living in Beech
