Eldora was born on April 17th, 1848 in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Eldora's father was Lewis Sargent and her mother is Sarah A. Day. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Sargent and Sally Blaisdell; her maternal grandparents are Jonathan F. Day and Hopestill Sargent. She had a brother and three sisters, named Lewis, Mary A., Sarah L. and Caroline. She is the second oldest of the five children.-
