Eleanor was born in Castile, Spain.  Eleanor's father was Ferdinand Alfonsez De Castile and her mother was Johanna De Dammartin.  Her paternal grandparents were Alfonso VIII Sanchez De Castile and Eleanor Plantagenet.  She was an only child.  She died on November 29th, 1290 in Harby, Nottinghamshire, England.  She was buried on December 16th, 1290 in Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.

‌Eleanor and Edward were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1254 in Las Huelgas, Burgos, Spain.  They had a son and three daughters, named Edward, Margaret, Joan and Elizabeth.
