Blood's Point, Illinois was located in Franklin township on section 2 and just over the county line into Boone County, Illinois. There is some controversy as to where the post office was located in DeKalb or Boone Counties, Illinois. The post office was established around 1848 with S.V.W. Scott as postmaster.
‌Hanna H. and Eli Alonzo were married in a religious ceremony in 1834 in Vermont. They had three sons and a daughter, named Budd, Horton W., Ora J. and Celinda.

Budd was born in 1834 in Vermont. He died at the age of 9 on March 29th, 1843 in Franklin, DeKalb County, Illinois. He was buried in Charter Oak Cemetery, Franklin, DeKalb County, Illinois.
Horton W. Sargent
Horton W. was born on December 7th, 1835 in Gaines, Orleans County New York. He died at the age of 63 on August 3rd, 1899. He was buried in Boone County Illinois.
