His paternal grandparents were Eystein Halfdansson and Hilda Eiriksdottir; his maternal grandfather is Warnechin and his maternal grandmother was Kunhilde. He was an only child. He died at the age of 35 in 0810 in Battle in Walcheran, Zeeland, Netherlands.
