Adelaide was born about 1104 in Vermandois, Neustria.  Adelaide's father was William II De Warrene and her mother was Elizabeth Isabel de Crepi De Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were William De Warenne and Matilda Gundred; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Magnus and Adelaide De Vermandois. She had two brothers and a sister, named Reginald, William III and Gundred.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Robert, Aubrey and Isabel Elizabeth.  She died in 1178 in Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland.

‌Adelaide and Henry were married in a religious ceremony in England.  They had two sons named William and David.
