Joan was born about 1375 in Chateau De Beaufort, Meuse-et-Loire, France.  Joan's father was John Plantagenet and her mother was Catherine Swynford De Roet.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Plantagenet and Philippa d'Avesnes; her maternal grandfather is Payne De Roet. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Joan.  She died on November 13th, 1440 in Howden, Yorkshire, England.  She was buried in Lincoln Catheral, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.

‌Joan and Robert were married in a religious ceremony in 1391 in Chateau De Beaufort, Maine-Et-Loire, France.  They had a daughter named Elizabeth.

‌Joan and Ralph were married in a religious ceremony on November 29th, 1396 in Chateau De Beaufort, Meuse-Et-Loire, France.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Richard, William, Edward, Catherine and Ann.
