Hepsey Wood was born on March 4th, 1830 in Weare, New Hampshire. Hepsey Wood's father was Simon Perkins Colby and his mother is Betsey Wood. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Colby and Lucy Perkins. He had six sisters named Hannah W., Hannah W., Julia Perkins, Eliza Jane, Lucy Ann and Susan M.. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers named Franklin Pierce and Harvey G.. He died at the age of 1 on December 29th, 1831 in Weare, New Hampshire.-
