Her paternal grandparents were Harvey Bateson and Martha Jane Hillard. She had a half-sister named Delores. She died at the age of 77 on April 8th, 1996 in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio. She was a member of the American Cancer Society; the Findlay Chapter 362, Women of the Moose; and Business and Professional Women's Club of Findlay and Hancock County. She attended Only Believe Ministries. At the time of her death, she had 13 grandchildren (one deceased) and 4 great-grandchildren. From the obituary, I could not determine the father of the daughters.
