Betsey was born on November 2nd, 1798 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.  Betsey's father was Enoch Alexander and her mother was Mariam Colby.  Her maternal grandparents were Willoughby Colby and Sarah Sargent. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Philip C., Enoch, Eli, James Green, Willaby Colby, Sarah Sargent, Miriam and Adaline.  She was the oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 73 on August 9th, 1872 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.


Betsey's first family with Andrew Buntin Sargent

‌Betsey and Andrew Buntin were married in a religious ceremony in 1819 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.  They had five sons and five daughters, named Samuel Alexander, Simeon, Enoch A., Sewell A., Philip J., Elvira, Sarah A., Miriam Emeline, Lucy Jane and Charlotte F..


Betsey's second family with Jonathan Colby

‌Betsey and Jonathan were married in a religious ceremony in December 1821 in WEBSTER, Maine.  They had three sons and a daughter, named William Alexander, Hezekiah W., Josiah E. and Sarah Elizabeth.
