Matilda was born on August 5th, 1102 in Winchester, England.1   Matilda's father was Henry I Beauclerc and her mother was Matilda (Edith) Of Scotland.  Her paternal grandfather was William I Conqueror; her maternal grandmother was Margaret Atheling. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Robert, Sibyl Elizabeth and Constance.  She died at the age of 65 on September 10th, 1167 in Abbey Of Notre Dame Des Prs, Rouen.  She was buried in Bec Abbey, Normandy.
