ates that 1st wife of James was Jennie Martin, no source given. ECL also n

A George Throckmorton, gentleman, was living in Newport in 1588. AJohn Thr
ockmorton resided in Providence, RI, in 1644/45, as was James Leonard.Lat
er Throckmorton descendants married into the Henry Leonard line in New Jer
sey. Further research may indicate that several families from the Newpo
rt section of England/Wales came to America about the same time and more a
bout their reasons and relationships.
