William Beekman 
William was born in 1684 in New York. William's father was Col. Gerardus Beekman and his mother was Magdalena Abeel. His paternal grandparents were Wilhelmus Hendrickse Beekman and Catharine van de Boogh; his maternal grandparents were Cristoffel Janse Abeel and Neeltje Jans Croon. He was an only child. He died at the age of 86 in 1770 in New York.-
