"ELIZABETH HERRING, of New York City, widow, to my six daughters, Margar
et Roosevelt, Cornelia Jones, Elizabeth De Peyster, Ann Kip, Mary Harin
g, and Sarah Jones, to be equally divided among them, share and share alik
e, all my wearing apparel; all the remainder of my goods, chattel
s, to be sold, and the moneys arising from such sale, also all the mon
ey I die possessed of, and that what shall be owing to me at my death sha
ll be put out at interest by my executors for and during the natural li
fe of my son Peter; if my son Peter dies, the moneys so arisi
ng to go to my grandchildren, to Elbert Kip and Elizabeth Kip, childr
en of my daughter, Ann Kip; Elizabeth and Elbert Roosevelt, childr
en of my daughter, Margaret Roosevelt; Elbert and Elizabeth Haring, childr
en of my daughter, Mary Haring; Nicholas and Elizabeth Jones, childr
