:371]).
EDUCATION: Signed his deed and will. Drafted several semiliterate petitio
ns to Middlesex court [MCF Folios #45, 53].

On 19 June 1665, Middlesex Court excused Richard Adams from further traini
ng, based on his petition that hewas "of the age of threescore or thereabo
ut, also being lame" [MCF Folio #45].
ESTATE: On 18 August 1674, "Richard Addams" of Malden, planter, "with t
he assent & consent of Elizabeth my wife," sold to Thomas Linde of Malde
n, yeoman, "acertain parcel of marsh meadow land ... in Malden ... contain
ing four acres" [MLR 6:27-28; TAG 22:199].
In his will, dated 21 March 1673/4and proved 15 December 1674, "Richard A
ddams of Maulden" bequeathed to "my beloved wife all the land and meadow t
hat is [in] mine hands so long as she doth live a widow [and] in case s
he shall dispose herself in marriage again sheshall have but two-third pa
rts in the land and housing"; to "my daughter Mary Clowe of Charlestowne o
ne acre of land ... below the swamp and one acre of saltmarsh that joine
th to the three acres of saltmarsh that I have sold to Thomas Lynde of Mau
ldon that joineth to Phineas Upham saltmarsh"; to "my daughter Sarah Coun
ts of Charlestowne one acre and half of land lying in Charlestowne ... a
nd one acre saltmarsh lying next to my daughter Clowe saltmarsh"; to "my d
aughter Ruth Grover the house pasture next to Phineas Upham land ... andt
