Raoul III "The Great" was born in Valois, Ile de France, France and his baptism took place in 1025.  Raoul III "The Great"'s father was Raoul II De Vexin and his mother was Adelaide De Breteuil.  His paternal grandparents were Walter "le Blanc" de Amiens and Adele (Alix) De Senlis; his maternal grandparents were Hildouin III de Ramerupt and Emmeline de Chartres.  He was an only child.  He died on September 8th, 1074 in Mellent, Normandy, France.  He was buried in Creepy en Laonnois, Aisne, France.
