His paternal grandparents were John Stewart of Innermeath and Isabel Ergadia; his maternal grandparents were John "Fairborn" Beaufort and Margaret De Holand. He had a brother named John Stewart of. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Alexander (Twin Brother of James II), James II "Hearty James", Annabella, Joan, Daughter, Daughter, Daughter and Daughter. He died about 1499.-
