Henri de Lancastre, knight, serving with the army of King Edward I in Scotland; fought at the Battle of Falkirk, 22 July 1298.
His arms are recorded as "Gules three lions passant gardant in pale or a bend azure" (Falkirk Roll H53 (12) {The bend was a difference, as the arms themselves - Gules three lions passant - were the arms of his cousin the King; his brother Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, bore the same arms, with a label for difference.}
"Henricus de Lancastre Dominus de Munemue". tenth of the barons who sealed the Baron's letter to the Pope, February 1301 (in response to the Scots letter to Boniface VIII in 1298, fefying the claimed English superiority) following the Parliament at Lincoln, 13-20 Jan 1300-1301.
