Alexander Keith

Alexander was born about 1491 in Dunottar, Kincardine, Scotland. Alexander's father was William III Keith and his mother was Elizabeth Gordon. His paternal grandparents were William Keith and Muriella Erskine; his maternal grandparents were George Gordon and Annabella Stewart. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert I, William, Gilbert, David, George, Elizabeth, Janet, Agnes Anne and Christian. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
