Edward I "Longshanks" Plantagenet of was born on June 17th, 1239 in Westminster Palace, London, England and his baptism took place on June 22nd, 1239.  Edward I "Longshanks" Plantagenet of's father was Henry III of England and his mother was Eleanor of Provence.  His paternal grandparents were John "Soft Sword" and Isabella de Taillefer; his maternal grandparents were Raimond-Berenger and Beatrice De Savoia. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Henry, Edmund "Crouchback", Beatrice and Margaret.  He died at the age of 67 on June 7th, 1307 in Burgh on Sands, Cumbria, England.  He was buried in Westminster Abbey, London, England.
