Marguerite was born about 1265 in Dampierre, Jura, France.  Marguerite's father was Willem Van Vlaanderen and her mother was Alix Van Clermont. She had a brother and a sister, named Jan and Isabel.  She died in 1331 in Zutphen, Glederland, Netherlands.

Marguerite's first family with Alexander Stewart

‌Marguerite and Alexander were married in a religious ceremony on November 15th, 1282 in Roxburgh, Scotland.

Marguerite's second family with Rainald I of Guelders

‌Marguerite and Rainald I of were married in a religious ceremony on July 3rd, 1286.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Guido, Philip, Reinoud II "the Black", Margaret, Philippa and Isabel.
