Emma of was born about 1218 in Heleigh Castle, Audley, Staffordshire, England. Emma of's father was Henry of Aldithley and her mother was Bertred Mainwaring. Her paternal grandparents were Adam de Audley and Emma FitzOrm; her maternal grandparents were Ralph de Mainwaring and Amicia Le Mechin. She had a brother and a sister, named James and Alice. "Tuchet" article in CP shows that Emma, daughter of Henry de Audley, was married twice, first to Henry Tuchet (dsp shortly before 8 Jan 1241/2) and second to Gruffydd Maelor II (Ie Gruffydd ap Madoc, Lord of Bromfield).
