William The was born before August 5th, 1103 in Winchester, England.  William The's father was Henry I 'Beauclerc' of England and his mother was Matilda (Edith) of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were William I of Normandy and Matilda Forrester; his maternal grandparents were Malcolm III Canmore and Margaret the Saxon. He had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Euphamia and Maud. He had ten half-brothers and thirteen half-sisters, named Robert of, Reginald FitzRoy, William, Gilbert, Earl of, William, Henry, Monk at, Richard of, Baron of, Sybilla of, Matilda, Alice, Emma, Gundred, Eustacie, Rohese, Nun at, Isabel, Abbess of, Maud, Constance and Joan.  He died on November 25th, 1120 in Drowned with the wreck of the White Ship.
