William was born in 1245 in Kinderton,Chestershire,England.1 William's father was 4th Baron Kinderton, Sir Knight Roger Venables and his mother is Alice de Penington. His paternal grandparents are Hugh de Venables and Alice d'Oxton; his maternal grandfather is Alan de Pennington. He had a sister named Roesia. He was the older of the two children. Sir William Venables died 20 of Edward I (1292). His name appears on several deeds, the first of which bears the date of 1267. He married Margaret, daughter of Sir Thomas Dutton. He restored to the monks of Chester the advowson of Astbury, of which his father had despoiled them , and died the year following. He was married in 1253 and had Hugh, Sir William and a daughter, Cecelia.
